The concept of using bookmarks as story extenders is new to most, so here are some answers to F.A.Q.s.
Q.Do I need the StoryMarks to understand the books?
A. No. The stories in the books stand on their own.
Q. What’s the point of the StoryMarks then?
A. Two things:
1. They are limited edition and collectible with fine art photos on the front I am not releasing elsewhere.
2. On the back are links that take you further into The Gospel of Wolves’ storyworld. The goal of each individual StoryMark is to reshape how you experience the books. If you haven’t finished the books, it will give you a deeper understanding of what’s happening, kind of like insider information. If you’ve already read the books, it will reshape how you perceive what you read and introduce new characters and conflicts that will appear in upcoming books.
Q. Can you just email me the URLs to the StoryMark flash fictions?
A. No. The URLs will ONLY be available from me through the StoryMarks, which are physical items. The fact that they are limited editions with the unique fine art on the front and the original poetry on the back, the URLs are what make them collectible. Should this series blow up in popularity, I want the people who support me now to have something bandwagoners will have to search for to find.
NOTE: Members of the Rangers 101st Heirborn will have online access to the StoryMark content.
Q. I see writing credits for names other than Chris Wesley under some of the flash fictions. Are these people the real authors of them?
A. No. I, Chris Wesley wrote all of the flash fictions. Some of them are written in the ‘voices’ of characters who work for media outlets in The Gospel of Wolves storyworld. Some of these characters will appear in future books.
Q. What do you mean by ‘limited edition’?
A. Each StoryMark is limited to its first printed edition.
Q. If I have one StoryMark, can I read all of the flash fictions?
A. No. Each StoryMark is a link to specific flash fiction stories related to that bookmark. Having one StoryMark will not give you access to the other StoryMark fictions.
Q. What happens when a StoryMark is no longer available through Artistic Agenda Press?
A. I am only giving out the links on the StoryMarks. When I don’t have any more of a particular StoryMark to give out, you will have to get the link from someone in my audience.
Q. I have The Overture Poems StoryMark 2 of 7 “Smoke Signal”. How do I get StoryMark 1 of 7?
A. It is currently only available with the purchase of the paperback version of “The Gospel of Wolves, Episode One” either from me personally or from my website, www.chriswesley.com. This is because I personally package the StoryMarks with the books. Amazon and other retailers of my paperback books do not offer this service.
Q. Who is performing the music?
A. Me, Chris Wesley. At least up until this point, I wrote all the music for The Gospel of Wolves Soundtrack, played all of the instruments, did all the vocals, etc. Once my vision for extended storyworld of The Gospel of Wolves is better established, I will be inviting guest artists help me out.
Q. I wasn’t aware there was a “The Gospel of Wolves Soundtrack”. Where is it?
A. Currently, the easiest way to listen in and buy the soundtrack is through “The Extended Storyworld of The Gospel of Wolves” online experience. The ability to listen to the songs and buy them are inside select articles of the online experience.
