Why use Expressionist Photography

January 29, 2018 by Christopher J Wesley Leave a Comment

I want Expressionist Photography to become a movement of self-expression that’s accessible to everyone.

We all carry an art studio in our pockets and purses, and the truth is talent and creativity are boxes that we don’t have to self-identify with to take great photos. There are simple rules we can all follow and the first is that we all feel, therefore anything we make that expresses that feeling is valid.

Perhaps you can relate to a few of them and hopefully, you’ll be able to re-frame some of them yourself.  [Read more…]

Positive Thinking Through Negative Remarks [VIDEO]

thumbnail-positive-thinking-negative-remarksYesterday, I saw an old friend at work who hadn’t seen me, so I called her name. When she didn’t turn around, I called her name again and again and again, until I got her attention.

When she finally did acknowledge my presence, naturally I asked her, “What the hell?”

Well it turned out that she was having a horrible day. The reason she didn’t hear me was because she was so focused on how crappy her day was going and how badly she needed to ‘take a walk’ away from her desk.
